Eat and sit around and talk. If it is Thanksgiving we, my family and my siblings’ families, watch Jurassic Park (the first one).
Meal time. Fewer arguments over politics, religion, or football teams when mouths are full. Pass the potatoes and the gravy, please.
Thanksgiving: Watching the cousins’ kids after desert, and hoping the blood is manageable.
Christmas: Watching the cousins’ kids open presents, and hoping they fight over yours.
Figuring out how to use weird devices / software, and sharing / practicing what we’ve learned. Or working on projects.
